This week, December 14-21, Lapstone & Hammer will be hosting a pop-up for Civil Studios, a new Philadelphia brand with a mature streetwear aesthetic. Combining a vision for community empowerment with finely crafted apparel from premium materials, their inaugural collection pays homage to civil heroes of the past while empowering new civil leaders of the present and future.
Founded by Lapstone's own Community Development Coordinator, Mercedes Watson, Civil Studios is more than just a clothing brand, it's a vehicle for change. Their mission is to spark progress within the community through education & empowerment, giving everyone the courage and power to be the truest version of themselves, while passing the torch to the next generation.
Civil Studios first cut & sew collection includes flannel overcoats made from genuine alpaca wool, French terry cotton hoodies, signature cotton twill trousers, 100% cotton tees and a range of accessories that features a wool baseball cap made in partnership with Ebbett's Field Vintage which pays tribute to Negro League legend Judy Johnson, a baseball Hall of Famer and Wilmington, Delaware native.
The Civil Studios pop-up at Lapstone & Hammer will run from 12/14 - 12/21, and be available both in-store and online @ lapstoneandhammer.com.
