New Balance's 993, an often overlooked model in their 99X series, stakes its claim to icon status with the 993 Made In The USA "Mushroom/Midnight Violet". Originally introduced in 2008, the 993 combines elements from the 991 and 992 into one streamlined silhouette. The upper construction sees brown hairy suede panels underlaid with dark maroon open weave mesh and brown leather accents with purple on the tongue and heel tab. White laces and yellow lining, white and black N logo on the sides and a navy NB branded TPU heel clip fill in the details. The brown and black PU foam midsole features both ABZORB and ACTEVA cushioning while a blown rubber NDurance outsole provides superior durability. Made in the USA embroidery over American flag detailing on the tongue and heel finish off the design.
