LAPSTONE & HAMMER PRESENTS MUD DYE

Lapstone & Hammer is proud and excited to announce the follow up to this summer’s highly coveted Coral Reef capsule: MUD DYE, a range of hand-dyed sportswear apparel that draws inspiration from three of the planet’s most unique environments.

MUD DYE is inspired by three of Earth’s terrestrial ecosystems: The Mojave Desert, the Patagonian Grassland, and the Jungles of Borneo. In an effort to foster sustainability these garments are colored using natural dyes and pigments to match Earth’s distinctive palettes.

The series consists of Nike hoodies, joggers, hats and socks that have been treated with the same small batch hand-dye process as Coral Reef that creates a completely unique color pattern on each garment, making no two alike.

  • MUD DYE HOODIE: $175
  • MUD DYE PANT: $150
  • MUD DYE HAT: $50
  • MUD DYE SOCK: $15

MUD DYE symbolizes the interdependent relationship of all living things as we strive to promote a more harmonious existence with each other and the planet we share.

MUD DYE comes in three colorways:

MOJAVE is based on the colors and tones found in the Mojave Desert, the driest desert in North America. The pattern incorporates the reds, browns, and yellows of the rocky and sandy terrain where the coyotes and scorpions dwell, the blue hues of the sky and the greens and pinks of the prickly pears and Joshua trees.

JUNGLE exudes the danger and mystery of the Jungles of Borneo at night, with dark greens and purples representing the thick vegetation and dark sky. This pattern features yellows and oranges dotting the landscape like leopards and orangutans peeking out from trees, small ripples of blue flowing through like rivers and bright flashes of pink popping out like wild tropical flowers.

GRASSLAND captures the essence of the lush, windswept prairies of Patagonia with the green and tan shades of grass intermingled with llama-like caramel and cream. Brilliant blues are splashed with yellow, like parakeets in the sky, turning to streaks of purple, red and orange as the sun dips below the southern Andes.

MUD DYE releases both in-store and lapstoneandhammer.com at 10:00am EST on Friday, November 16th.
