Lapstone & Hammer joins forces with a true original for a special collaborative boot set to kick off 2022: the Lapstone for Padmore & Barnes P404 "Sand" & "Concrete". Padmore & Barnes have been making high quality making since 1934, when they began hand-stitching shoes at their factory in Kilkenny, Ireland. While under the ownership of Clarks Originals from 1964-87 their P404 boot was renamed the "Wallabee", and achieved renown throughout the world. While the Clarks "Wallabee" is more popular today than ever, we chose the P404 for this project to acknowledge Padmore & Barnes as the originator of this style.
Lapstone for Padmore & Barnes features two tonal colorways of the iconic P404 in "Sand' and "Concrete". The instantly recognizable silhouette is hand-lasted and hand-stitched from premium supple leather and supervelour suede hides. Each pair contains slight variations in the suede panels that give the shoes a subtle two-tone effect, creating a familiar yet wholly unique look of this classic style. A full leather lining and custom crepe sole finishes off the design. Each pair includes a custom suede Lapstone & Hammer hang tag, debossed co-branded insole and 2 lace options.
