Jordan Brand has joined forces with Nike SB to honor the skateboarding legacy of the Air Jordan 1 with the color-shifting Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High OG Defiant "L.A. To Chicago" & "NYC To Paris". Not long after its debut, skaters began adopting the Air Jordan 1 for its sturdy leather construction, padded collars and unmatched style. These were sneakers that could not only stand up to the rigors of skating, but stand out as well. Nike SB and Jordan have come together to honor that heritage with two color-changing models that highlight two cities with iconic skate styles: New York and Paris, and two cities that are central to skateboarding history and basketball greatness: Los Angeles and Chicago.
The "NYC To Paris" boasts a premium leather upper that is dressed in a black, light bone and sail color scheme, representing New York's grittiness, that wears away to reveal a hyper pink and crimson twist colorway that embodies the vibrancy of the City of Light. Black laces, tongue, Nike SB tongue tag and Jordan Wings logo remain constant across both colorways, as does the sail sole unit that caps off this radical design.
The premium leather upper of the "L.A. To Chicago" is dressed in a court purple, gold and sail color combo that represents L.A. and the Lakers, which wears away to reveal a black and university red colorway representing Chicago and the Bulls. Black laces and Jordan Wings log, and a white tongue and Nike SB tongue tag remain constant across both colorways, as does the sail and black sole unit that caps off this radical design.
The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High OG Defiant "NYC To Paris" will release this Saturday, May 25th @ 10:00am both in-store and online on a first come, first served basis.
The Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 High OG Defiant "L.A. To Chicago" was only available via an in-store raffle. Winners will be notified on Friday, May 24th.
