In honor of Jerry Garcia's birthday today (August 1st), Lapstone & Hammer has joined forces with Stance to celebrate the ultimate counter-culture icons, the Grateful Dead, with a special hand dyed sock collection. Paying tribute to the sea of spinning tie dyed hippies at every Dead show, this pack features six colorways that are as unique and one of a kind as the band itself.
Just as The Dead never played the same set twice, each sock in this range is distinctive and no two are alike. The colorways include the darkly cosmic "Darkstar", the brightly saturated "Sunshine Daydream", the vividly striped "Ripple", the cotton candy-hued "Stella Blue", the smoldering "Scarlet Fire" and the aquatically tinged "Morning Dew".
The socks will cost $20 each, and are based on Stance's Classic Crew model, made from lush combed cotton and extending to a height of 7 inches above the ankle. Each pair features the Grateful Dead's "Steal Your Face" logo embroidered on one sock and the "Dancing Bear" logo embroidered on the other, in addition to the standard Stance logo that comes on all of the brands products.
These pieces were made using a small batch, hand dyeing technique that creates a completely unique pattern on each garment with the intention that no two are alike.
The Lapstone & Hammer x Stance "Grateful Dead" sock collection releases this Friday, August 2nd @ 10am EST, both in-store and online for $20.
