One of things that sets Lapstone & Hammer apart from other stores is our staff. The talent level among the employees is insane; almost everyone who works here is an artist. And that is no accident. One of our founding principals is to support and showcase local artists and artisans, and making a conscious effort to have them on the team is definitely a priority. So it gives us great pleasure to once again shine a light on a project that comes from straight from the fam, sales associate Alexander Azar and marketing director Bryant Coffey, and their brand Flower Child Studios. This Saturday, 10/7, Lapstone will host a release party for their latest collection, "Nothing Lasts", which features a range of apparel in their signature hippie streetwear aesthetic.
Flower Child Studios was founded in 2021 by Philadelphia natives Alexander Azar & Bryant Coffey. The brand is heavily inspired by imagery and motifs dating back to the 1960's & 70's while maintaining a modern perspective. "Nothing Lasts", their fourth collection, channels the idea of growth and transformation and the vital role they play in life.
This collection is an attempt to bridge the gap between vintage and modern streetwear, featuring pieces that pay homage to some of their favorite vintage finds over the years, like the up-cycled jean jackets adorned with their eye graphic, terry shorts that feature custom crochet work from L'Reese, classic auto shop ringer tee and unstructured workwear-style cap. The full collection includes two short sleeve tees, a long sleeve tee, the crochet terry shorts, vintage denim jacket and three hat silhouettes. See below for sizing and prices:
The collection will launch with a release party at the shop on 1106 Chestnut St. this Saturday night, 10/7, from 7-10pm. The event is produced in partnership with Lemonade & Co., and will feature drinks provided by KLYR Rum and music by DJ Krispy.
Flower Child Studios "Nothing Lasts" collection will be available to purchase in-store beginning Saturday, 10/7 @ 10:00am & online at lapstoneandhammer.com and flowerchild.studio on Monday, 10/9 @ 10:00am.
