CHUCK STYLES "VOTE OUR FUTURE" MURAL UNVEILING BLOCK PARTY

CHUCK STYLES "VOTE OUR FUTURE" MURAL UNVEILING BLOCK PARTY

Take Creative Creative (TCC), a national nonprofit empowering creators of color to thrive, advocate and effect change, hosted a voter engagement activation last Friday, October 18 at 2342 N. Broad St. to unveil a mural painted by Philadelphia-based and renowned visual artist Chuck Styles. The mural, entitled "Vote Our Future", showcases the importance of voting, specially in communities of color, and the weight it carries for the future generations. Lapstone & Hammer was proud to be a part of the festivities, producing custom made tee shirts for the occasion.

Community members will have the opportunity to engage around the importance of voting alongside creatives, influencers, and local activists with music by DJ Macky and performances by legendary Philadelphia hip hop icons and State Property founders Beanie Sigel and Freeway, along with up and coming artist D Sturdy

To celebrate the mural and help raise money for TCC, Lapstone produced the "Vote Our Future" mural tee.  The 100% cotton tee features a full print of Chuck's mural on the front of the all white tee. 100% of the profits from the sales of these shirts will go directly to Take Creative Control, a nonprofit organization whose mission intersects culture and social justice, leveraging the creative talents of the community to drive systemic change. Empowering local artists, TCC’s get-out-the-vote efforts are dedicated to mobilizing BIPOC communities, particularly women of color, to vote and raise awareness about issues such as reproductive rights and climate change.

To further build excitement on voting, TCC will host a block party in collaboration with Vote.org and maestra and When We All Vote on Saturday, October 19 along North Broad Street

TCC’s mission intersects culture and social justice, leveraging the creative talents of the community to drive systemic change. Empowering local artists, TCC’s GOTV efforts are dedicated to mobilizing BIPOC communities, particularly women of color, to vote and raise awareness about issues such as reproductive rights and climate change.

Maestra is dedicated to creating sustainable partnerships and guiding companies toward impactful, purpose-driven initiatives. Whether it’s advocacy, marketing, philanthropy, or transforming years of under-the-radar effort into authentic narratives, Maestra’s goal is to strengthen civic engagement organizations to safeguard democracy.
