Friday, August 31st Lapstone & Hammer will be hosting the Coral Studios Pop Up Fundraiser featuring the exclusive release of the Air Max 95 “Coral Studios” and the Lapstone “Coral Reef” Dip Dye Capsule.
The night begins at 6pm with a Panel Discussion on the Creative Process featuring Brick Owens , New York Sunshine and Coral Studios. Immediately following the panel will be the Pop Up Fundraiser event that features a live raffle for Lapstone & Hammer’s exclusive releases of the Air Max 95 “Coral Studios”, in addition to celebrating the launch of Lapstone’s own “Coral Reef” Dip Dye Capsule, both of which are inspired by the endangered underwater ecosystem.
All proceeds from sales that night will support two important organizations: The Great Barrier Reef Foundation and One Day at a Time. These two organizations support the notion of “think globally, act locally” as the Great Barrier Reef Foundation fights to protect one of the most diverse environments on the planet, while One Day at a Time is a Philly organization that works to end homelessness, support recovery from addiction and provide valuable programs that care for our city’s youth.
The Lapstone “Coral Reef” Dip Dye Capsule consists of Nike hoodies, joggers and hats that have been treated with a special dip dye process that creates a completely unique dye pattern on each garment, making no two alike. This pattern is inspired by the brilliant array of colors and texture found within the coral reef. This capsule releases both in-store and online at 10am August 31st.
The Air Max 95 “Coral Studios” was created via We Are Cultivator, and designed by Ismaila Traoé for Coral Studios. The sneaker design pays homage to the Coral Reef’s diverse ecosystem and vivid color palette. Lapstone & Hammer will host the only retail release of this sneaker, which is limited to 50 pairs worldwide. The Air Max 95 "Coral Studios" will only be available via a live in-store raffle during the fundraiser at 8pm.
The event will feature an open bar and refreshments provided by 13th Street Cocktails, along with music provided by DJ Dave Thomm.
