Nike ventures into their vault for a gridiron classic from yesteryear that is poised to be the lifestyle look of today with the reintroduction of the Field General '82. As the name implies, this was Nike's premier football shoe in 1982, worn by NFL players like Peyton's dad, Archie Manning. It returns largely unchanged from the original design, pairing a clean white leather and mesh upper with an orange leather swoosh and heel tab. An orange Nike logo on the tongue tag, vintage Nike branding on the heel and a black rubber outsole with grippy waffle tread complete the retro construction.
